"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Bearsden on our honeymoon. Margie and Ned are wonderful hosts and treated us like old friends. We loved the laid back atmosphere, beautiful rooms and scenery, delicious choices for breakfast, hot tub to soak our tired muscles while gazing at the stars, cozy fireplace in the lounge to curl up and read a book, and last but not least, Bruno, the cutest lab in New Zealand! If we ever make it back to the area, we will definitely return to Bearsden."

“We have raved about our time in Queenstown to all who'll listen, particularly our stay at the Bearsden B&B. We feel that we had stumbled across a piece of paradise and only wish we had stayed longer. If we had to pick a highlight out of the beautiful views, great walks through the snow and wonderful accommodation it might have to be the amazing evening spent under the stars in the hot tub, with a snow-covered Coronet Peak reflecting the moonlight back at us. Indulgent and magical!”

"Bearsden made for an unforgettable place to stay during our honeymoon. With majestic mountains looming behind, it is a place of natural beauty and refuge without being too far away from Queenstown, where we found that there was much to see and do. Margie’s wine map allowed us to have a fun-filled day of winery visits, including the unusual Gibbston Valley Wine Cave. The nights are so clear that you feel you can almost reach out and touch the stars, especially with Ned’s telescope. Margie and Ned and their adorable dog were incredibly welcoming, and soaking in their hot tub with snow on the mountains under a waning sunset was one of the most blissful memories of our 2-week trip."

"We sincerely had a wonderful time at Bearsden; very happy that we decided to rent a car and stay a convenient distance from the energy of Queenstown, close to the quaint village of Arrowtown and handy to all the ski resorts including Treble Cone. Margie and Ned extended a truly warm welcome to their home and Margie, in particular, went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed, and we were utterly spoilt in the lead up to our 'big' day. The accommodation was superb, extremely clean and well appointed. Breakfasts were delicious and Margie is a whizz on the espresso machine. Our hosts were very conversant and on top of having some amazing experiences to share, have a wonderful array of recommendations from restaurants and bars, to activities and ski fields. Our most memorable experience at Bearsden was enjoying gourmet wine and cheese by the outdoor fire! Could not recommend a better place for some downtime amidst the scenic tranquillity of the peaks yet being handy to everything."

“David and I really enjoyed our stay at Bearsden and our time in the stunning South Island. Margie and Ned are the perfect hosts balancing hospitality and at the same time making you feel like the place is all yours. Margie’s recommendations on dining, wineries, drives and walks were all great – we felt like she knew exactly what type of break we were after. We loved our time at Bearsden (especially Bruno!) and have recommended it to family and friends."

"What a find! Bearsden is a relaxing B&B close to Arrowtown, Lake Hayes and Queenstown, with stunning mountain views. The lounge room with fireplace was an unexpected treat and the tasty and large breakfasts were cooked to order by the charming and friendly owners. If you are looking for suggestions for what to do during your stay, Margie and Ned are a great source of information on the local area. We hope to return someday soon!"

“Queenstown has been our favourite holiday spot for many years with its natural beauty and abundant activities but Bearsden is the icing on the cake. We could not believe the views and the warmth of our hosts, Margie and Ned. Margie's many years in the Queenstown tourism industry means she is a gold mine of information so you get more than just a place to stay. The accommodation was superb, typical NZ style with comfort, charm and privacy. Sitting on the deck soaking up the afternoon sun, enjoying a glass of New Zealand's best cold climate wine and local produce while almost being able to reach out and touch snow capped Coronet Peak was so much more than 'just what we needed'. We'll be back again for more of our very own touch of paradise.”
